Chambers USA Lauds Parr Brown and Its Attorneys

Parr Brown Gee & Loveless Recognized as Leading Utah Law Firm

Parr Brown Gee & Loveless has been recognized as a leading law firm in Utah by Chambers USA – America’s Leading Lawyers for Business in its 2012 publication. Four practice areas and 16 lawyers at the commercial law firm were ranked as the best in the state based on their reputations among clients.

Parr Brown is recognized as a leading law firm in the areas of Corporate Law/Mergers & Acquisitions, Real Estate Law, Energy and Natural Resources Law and Commercial Litigation. In addition, the firm had attorneys recognized in the areas of Labor and Employment Law and Water Law.

Specific rankings of practice areas and attorneys include:

  • Corporate Law and Mergers & Acquisitions where the firm received a first-tier ranking and was recognized as a “highly regarded group at the forefront of a number of significant M&A deals recently, despite the comparatively slow market.” Attorneys recognized in this practice area include Brent Stevenson, Brian Lloyd, Bryan Allen, Seth King and Scott Loveless, who passed away in March of 2012.
  • Real Estate Law, which also received a first-tier ranking. Charles Maak, David Gee and Robert McConnell were the individuals recognized in this area. The rankings note, “peers praise Parr Brown for the skill of its leading lawyers and for its prominence in sophisticated real estate litigation [as] one of the best groups in town.” 
  • Energy and Natural Resources Law recognized as a leading practice including individual attorneys Clayton Parr, Daniel Jensen and Steven Christiansen. The report lauds Parr Brown as, “a team that has always had a number of very good resource lawyers.”
  • Commercial Litigation recognized as a leading practice with individual recognition for Robert Clark, Stephen Hale, Jeffrey Hunt and Jonathan Hafen. “All the people there are really smart and really good lawyers who are easy to get along with but sharp and professional as well,” according to the report.
  • Additional recognition as top attorneys for Heidi Leithead as a "very knowledgeable and capable counseling attorney” in Labor & Employment and a second recognition in 2012 for Daniel Jensen in Water Law for his “impressive natural resources practice [where he] handles a wide range of transactional and development issues, as well as related litigation.”
