Reymann President of SL County Bar Assn.
Parr Brown attorney, David C. Reymann, has been elected President of the Salt Lake County Bar Association. Mr. Reymann, who recently completed his term as Vice-President, has served on the Executive Committee for the past eight years.
The mission of the Salt Lake County Bar Association is to provide continuing legal education programs to attorneys in Salt Lake County, to provide an organized means of communication and social interaction among the practicing attorneys in Salt Lake County, to sponsor law related activities, programs, and services for the benefit of the community, to improve public awareness of the Judicial system and the role of the legal profession within that system, and to serve the general welfare of attorneys in Salt Lake County.
Mr. Reymann specializes in commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis in First Amendment and media litigation, including open records laws, access to court proceedings, defamation, reporters’ privilege issues, and anti-SLAPP litigation. He is a periodic lecturer on constitutional law and helps staff the Utah Freedom of Information Hotline at Parr Brown, which provides pro bono legal assistance to Utah journalists. He has represented numerous media organizations in Utah and several national organizations, including CNN and the Associated Press.
Mr. Reymann received his Juris Doctor in 1999 from the University of Chicago, with high honors, Order of the Coif. He was listed in the 2004-2009 editions of Utah Business Magazine's Legal Elite in business litigation. He was also listed in The Best Lawyers in America 2007-2009 editions and the 2008 and 2009 editions of Mountain States Super Lawyers.
