Rita Cornish is a member of the firm's commercial litigation group with a focus on construction litigation and toxic tort defense. She received her J.D. from the University of Utah with Highest Honors, Order of the Coif and was the Note and Comment Editor for the Journal of Law and Family Studies. Ms. Cornish aslo holds a PH.D. in Chemistry from the University of Utah.
Before joining Parr Brown, Ms. Cornish clerked for the Honorable Carolyn B. McHugh on the Utah Court of Appeals. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the S.J. Quinney College of Law as the President-Elect for the Young Alumni Association and on the Executive Committee of the Salt Lake County Bar Association. In 2009, Ms. Cornish was recognized as Young Alumna of the Year by the University of Utah S.J. Quinney of Law, was recognized in the 2009 and 2011 editions of Mountain States Super Lawyers, and the 2011-2012 editions of Utah Business magazine's Utah's Legal Elite in the business litigation.
