Laura Kennedy is a member of the firm’s Litigation group. She has unique experience having worked for several years as a judicial law clerk for a wide range of state and federal courts, including the United States District Court of Utah, the Utah Supreme Court, and the Utah Court of Appeals. While working for judges, Ms. Kennedy gained valuable insight into the workings of Utah’s state appellate and federal trial courts, observing and participating in the courts’ management of cases and decision-making process. Ms. Kennedy uses her experience and insight to benefit her clients.
Ms. Kennedy received her Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School in 1995. While a student she was the Managing Editor of the BYU Journal of Public Law and a recipient of the J. Reuben Clark and Douglas A. Parker Awards.
Ms. Kennedy currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Take Heart International and formerly served on the Board of Directors for Zambia’s Scholarship Fund.
