DIRECT MARKETING EXPERIENCE
A significant portion of Craig Parry's practice over the past 15 years has involved advising and representing direct marketing companies including, Neways, Nu Skin, Nutritional Life Lines, and Pinnacle Nutrition. He has represented direct marketing companies with compliance issues, intellectual property matters, and in litigation, particularly trade secret and non-compete litigation against former distributors. Mr. Parry's practice frequently involves matters in the Pacific Rim. He advises and represents several U.S. direct marketing companies doing business in Japan.
Mr. Parry has represented U.S.-based direct marketing companies in a variety of foreign matters including registration and compliance under Japanese law, intellectual property infringement and protection, cross-recruiting, and false advertising. He assisted with the divestiture of a U.S. partner's share of a direct marketing company to a Japanese partner and has handled matters involving product compliance with pharmaceutical laws, sales tax issues, securities and anti-pyramiding laws and compliance with state direct selling and direct marketing laws.Before joining Parr Brown, Mr. Parry practiced at a Japanese law firm in Tokyo where he served as counsel for R.J. Reynolds Japan, Mitsui, Gallo Wines Japan, Mitsubishi, Matsushita and other multinational clients.
